  • Overview

    This Operational Readiness Analyst will conduct an Operational Readiness Assessment for upcoming major change events/projects to ensure all impacted people and processes are identified as part of the project planning and design phase. The Operations Readiness Analyst will then ensure an Operational Readiness Plan is developed during the project design phase to ensure the required people and process change is identified, planned, and implemented in parallel with the project systems requirements and there are detailed plans and specifications to ensure successful delivery of change and user adoption. The analyst will also assist with the completion of activities and development of deliverables contained within that plan during the development and implementation phases of the projects. Ongoing responsibilities will include ensuring the associate population is familiar with and prepared for upcoming changes to systems. In support of this, the Operational Readiness Analyst will also ensure that all required communications and training and performance support resources are delivered before changes are implemented, will conduct a readiness assessment prior to deployment, and will monitor the stability of the operations environment once changes are implemented. 


    Development of Readiness and Learning Solutions including the following: 
    • Operational Readiness Requirements Documentation—Participation in project work teams to conduct an Operational Readiness Assessment to get a clear understanding of anticipated changes and to ensure operational readiness business requirements (people and process changes) are captured and documented along with any systems change requirements. 
    • Readiness Assessment and Gap Analysis—to provide a readiness overview and help determine to what extent key factors are in place, such as change specification developed, change targets identified, roles and responsibilities defined, end state defined and understood, feedback plan created, alignment established among all stakeholders. In support of this activity the analyst will need to perform an Operational Readiness Assessment 
    • Operational Readiness Plan Development and Execution—Development of an operational readiness plan for major change initiatives will be required to ensure there is a plan for all areas impacted by the change being delivered. Support for execution of the operational readiness plan and the completion of the specific tasks it contains and deliverables required will also be a critical responsibility. 
    • Communications Development and Delivery 
    o Establishment of email distribution lists to impacted parties to ensure change is effectively communicated 
    o Development communication materials to clearly communicate upcoming change, business benefit, user impact, and training / performance support provided 
    o Assistance with the maintenance of a Sharepoint communication portal to house all critical documentation and reference materials related to the change event 
    Training and Performance Support Development and Ongoing Maintenance— 
    o Use FP&A Training Framework to design, develop, deliver, and monitor FP&A training programs 
    o Apply instruction design methodologies to solicit, analyze, and document training needs and requirements 
    o Design and develop effective learning solutions to support training needs and operational readiness 
    o Develop performance support solutions and learning content for virtual instructor-led, e-learning, video, and blended delivery 
    o Deliver training as required and manage the delivery and utilization of self-paced training 
    o Development of or updates to standard operating procedures that are impacted by the change event 
    o Maintain existing training materials, updating for data, process, and/or system changes 
    o Maintain centralized training repository for Management Reporting organization 
    o Track completion of required training for Management Reporting organization 
    Readiness Assessment—Facilitation of a Readiness Assessment prior to project deployment will also be required to ensure all areas of the organization are prepared for upcoming change and have signed off on their readiness 
    • Performance Reporting—Post-Implementation Operations Reporting and Monitoring of KPI’s and Voice of the Customer (VOC) related to implementation of new processes and procedures to support change 


    • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience 
    • This position requires a degree from a four-year college (e.g., B.A., B.S) 
    • Ability to quickly understand business line needs and objectives

    • Strong organizational, collaboration, and communication skills 
    • Ability to develop effective interpersonal networks within the organization (experience with complex organizational structures)

    • Must be a creative problem-solver and a creative problem anticipator who is able to anticipate complex issues and problems and takes proactive steps to prevent them from happening

    • Expert in using MS Office® products; e-learning tools experience 
    • Strong work ethic, ability to make decisions, and work under tight deadlines 
    • Proven effectiveness in fast-paced, demanding environment 
    • Experience with Oracle Financial Applications (OFSAA, Hyperion, OBIEE) is a plus
