  • Overview

    The Distribution Department within company is seeking candidates with a demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding performance expectations. In order to be successful as a Logistics Clerk an individual must consistently demonstrate an ability to work effectively to meet daily and weekly goals in a manner that meets quality and safety expectations. 

    Team members will be working in a warehouse environment and are expected to perform shipping and receiving functions, material handling and storage functions, stock picking and assembly of product kits, product labeling and packaging, order verification of part, serial, lot and quantity, inventory cycle counts, forklift operation, and daily housekeeping. 

    Team members will be required to execute functions within ERP system and must demonstrate working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook. Throughout shift, team members are expected to maintain works areas clean, orderly and in safe condition. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends is required and must be able to stand and lift up to 50 pounds for duration of shift.


    The Logistics Clerk must be a team-oriented individual capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Position responsibilities include receiving, restocking, picking, packaging and auditing of products, as well as housekeeping duties associated with maintaining an organized, clean and safe work environment. This individual must serve as a contributing member of the Distribution team while championing Client’s Mission and Values.


    Individual Responsibilities:

    • Proactively collaborates with internal teams/departments to promote a culture of inclusiveness and cooperation.

    Functional Responsibilities:

    • Be actively involved in projects and process optimization in the distribution center.Contribute to maintenance and implementation of distribution performance metrics.
    • Perform root cause analysis, corrective action, and troubleshooting duties.
    • Segregate, unpack and check goods against purchase orders or invoices.
    • Maintain records of received goods, alerting appropriate personnel of receipt discrepancies.
    • Lift and move medium and heavier weight items (up to 50 pounds).
    • Able to work on feet for long periods of time, including standing.
    • Pick, pack, and accurately confirm goods prior to shipment.
    • Prepare and maintain records of items shipped.
    • Examine stock and distribute goods in inventory and in other dedicated areas.
    • Data entry using the inventory management system.
    • Train others in distribution related tasks.

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, professional image at all times.
    • Proactive mindset and collaborative approach to problem solving.
    • Strong analytical skills and experience with ERP software (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Sage).
    • Solid written and oral communication skills.
    • Accuracy and speed is essential for data entry skills.
    • Current and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Average data entry speed using numeric keypad.
    • Knowledge of proper lifting/body mechanic techniques and adherence to health and safety regulations.
    • Current and working knowledge of forklift operation.
    • Superior time management skills, ability to manage multiple functions and adhere to daily deadlines.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced and active environment.
    • Flexibility to work a variety of day shifts in a 50 hour work week. Education & Qualifications
    • College Diploma preferred. University Degree preferred (Distribution, Supply Chain, or Logistics program preferred).
    • Forklift certification preferred.
