    Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: Typically 8-5, but some off hours support is required 

    Scope of Position: 
    Provide engineering skills for CET Heavy Duty Diesel Plant, including equipment design and specification, installation, upgrade existing equipment, start up, debug, and troubleshooting. This is a cross-functional role, which will cover batch to box. 


    • Equipment Design, Equipment component specification 
    • Equipment installation and start up 
    • Identify develop and transfer technologies from outside suppliers for process improvement initiatives 
    • Interface with other equipment disciplines – Electrical, Controls, IT, and external suppliers 
    • Use of CAD Systems 
    • Lead and interface with project teams 
    • Use the scientific method to drive to fundamental understanding 
    • Uses engineering principles and data to solve problems, including production issues 
    • Uses rigorous tools to deliver results including problem analysis, potential problem analysis, risk assessment, DMAIC methodology, and innovation 
    • Translate work, solution, and directions into presentations to leadership and partners that can be understood and are actionable

    Role within Group: 
    • Support the Diesel Plant through troubleshooting and design 
    • Technical liaison between Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing 
    • Identify root cause and implement corrective actions 


    Education and Experience: Minimum: A.S. 0 -5 years of experience with Solid Works experience, B.S. Mechanical Engineering preferred 

    Desired Skills: 
    • Prior experience in CET 
    • Experience leading and supporting Capital projects 
    • Experience with Six Sigma DMAIC principles 
    • Teamwork in a multicultural environment 
    • Experience with innovation and transferring technology from development to production 
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment 

    Soft Skills: 
    • Technical curiosity 
    • Project leadership skills 
    • Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to simplify complex topics 
    • Able to work in a production environment for experimentation, as well as in office environment for data analysis, model development, and experimentation planning

    Manager Must Haves: 
    • Mechanical equipment design skills and equipment specification 
    • CAD

    • Strong analytical skills
