Position does not require candidates or suppliers to have any DOE or DOD clearances. Candidates do need to meet ITAR requirements for the role.
Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm schedule.
Encompasses the application of scientific and technological principles concerned with the integrity of manufactured products and processes from an engineering standpoint, esp. design specifications, testing procedures, and quality standards. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs First Article Inspection Reports using AS9102. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. Areas of specialization include: incoming material, GD&T, attention to details. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
Education: AAS Desired, but not required. Candidates with an applicable 2 year degree will be given first preference.
Minimum Experience: 1-3 Years in a Quality Technician or similar role
Equipment Used: Inspection gauges, comparator, scales, PPE is not required.
Manager Note: Looking for a technician with 2 to 3 years’ experience as a technician and someone who has experience with AS9100, cables, and harnesses. This is not an inspector role and candidates with only inspector experience are not the right fit.
