  • Overview

    Experienced sourcing manager - able to work independently and can manage sourcing projects from initiation (gather requirements) to completion (contracting & negotiations, including obtaining necessary approvals and signatures to execute). 


    Responsibilities

    • Project manage one or several specific tracks of a business process reengineering/improvement effort
    • Data analysis: identify sources, gathers and analyze data, review work of analysts, define data requirements - Process architecture: design complex processes, ensure process mapping is complete, interview stakeholders and process owners to define processes.
    • Help define standards and methods
    • Process recommendations determine process recommendation documents, including presentations, process maps, supporting metrics, business requirements and related impact analyses for complex processes or for portions of larger or inter-related processes.
    • Performance management and control: define, develop and evaluate perform metrics to establish process success, participate in working with multiple stakeholders, often with competing/conflicting objectives, to ensure cohesive and reachable measures of success.
    • Review data post-implementation to measure success; participate in defining standards of improvement success.Manage major risks and issues through effective contingency plans and proper escalation
    • Change management: participate in and help lead change management activities associated with process improvement.
    • Engage leadership and stakeholders to obtain support and buy in for changes.
    • Partner with management, project champions, and process owners to align process improvement initiatives with business objectives.
    • Influence results through othersWork effectively in a self-directed environment
    • Present to senior management on program status

    Qualifications

    • Typically 5-10 years relevant procurement experience; preferably with Financial Services and/or with professional services, outsourcing / offshoring, software / SAAS, and market data.
