  • Overview

    The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that all activities pertaining  to the following functions are completed  on a Daily/Monthly basis, and approved by the Unit Manager and Director:

    • BESS: Break Out Incoming Swift Messages – Queue ADMR (MT 191 & MT 199) for ‘TDOD’ operations.
    • Daily Reports: BIS – GL and Cost Center Proof; ensuring that there are no ‘Breaks’ that require immediate investigation.
    • Perform Daily Reconciliation of ‘TDOD’ – WIP (Work-in-Process) accounts and report ‘Exceptions’ in a timely manner TDOD units [Rotation]
    • Perform Daily ‘Same Day/ Next Day’) Reconciliation of ‘NOSTRO’ Outstanding Ledger/Statement-
    • Debit/Credit FX Currency amounts in Intellimatch for ‘TDOD’ business units.
    • Prepare/distribute the daily ‘RISK’ and ‘Internal Currency Tracking’ reports to recipients, as required.
    • Ensure:
    • a) Brokerage reconciliation is completed, payment of Invoice and ‘OVS’ Entry Memo(Voucher) processed in a timely manner .
    • b) ‘GMDA’-Planning and Controllers Group are provided with the Brokerage Report on a monthly basis.
    • c) ‘GMDA’ Authorized Broker List/Fee Schedules are maintained in a secure area.
    • Prepare/distribute monthly reports to Controllers re ‘WIP & Suspense Accounts’, RFI-WIP, and GL Certification.
    • OFSA Database: Populate data by ‘Cost Center ’re ‘OVS-Vouchers’ processed by ‘Control’.


    Workflow Management:

    • Ensure that all reports evidence the appropriate management Approvals.
    • Ensure that all documentation related to the daily Reconciliation process is approved by management.
    • Identify/report any reconciliation irregularities to the Unit Manager and senior management in a timely manner.
    • Ensure all end of day ‘proof’ is reviewed and chopped by the Unit Manager. 

    Risk and Quality Control:


    • Strict adherence is required to the Unit’s established Procedures.
    • Ensure ‘Non Receipt/Shortage of Funds and incomplete Ledger postings are accurately captured on daily reports.
    • Initiate/Request Opening of an Investigation re ‘Unexpected or Non Receipt of Funds’ on behalf of ‘TDOD’ business units and follow-up on status of same with the ‘MTD-Investigations’.
    • Periodically review Workflow re ‘Control’ activities for procedural changes.
    • Assist the Unit manager in implementing revisions to the unit’s procedures.
    • Ensure all sensitive customer and Bank documentation is properly maintained and secured


    • Intermediate Excel User
    • Proficiency in Microsoft PC Applications
    • 1-2 years of Foreign Exchange and/or Reconciliation experience
    • Very good oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong Customer Service skills
    • High School /College graduate
    • 2 – 3 Years of Banking  operations experience
