Title: Drafting Revit Modeler 

Working Hours: Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm (with some flexibility) 
OT: On a case by case basis 

Scope of Position: This position is in the Sullivan Park Operations Directorate, within the Laboratory Services Management & Engineering (LSME) Department. The primary function of the department is to provide support for R&D activities by providing professional service in project management, infrastructure engineering, and laboratory space management. This position is responsible for supporting the functional groups in the department by facilitating, developing, implementing, and sustaining programs and processes to organize and access data received from a variety of sources. 


Day to Day Responsibilities: Coordination and facilitating the following focus areas including but not limited to: 
1. Safety 
a. Responsible for ensuring personal safety 
b. Complete all required safety training 
c. Comply with all safety requirements 
d. Participate and support the department’s safety initiatives 

2. Document Control and Support 
a. Receive and model accurate record drawings 
b. Continue to build the Sullivan Park campus within Revit 
c. Support and model “minor” projects 
d. Help to write BIM implementation Plans 
e. Coordinate with engineers on project drawing requirements 
f. Maintain document integrity 
g. Other document control tasks not specified above, as assigned by supervisor 

3. Project & System Support 
a. Coordinate design drawings and models with Engineers and Project Manager (PM’s) 
b. Manage and update record model drawings 
c. Work with vendors and suppliers in support of customer satisfaction 
d. Adhere project turnover and closeout processes 

4. Coordination of Written Processes and Procedures 
a. Support the development & maintenance of design standards 
b. Drive closure of open action items involving document development and publication 
c. Coordinate with Engineers to create guidelines & protocols for SCR’s 
Travel Requirements: Conferences or internal customer request as approved by supervisor 


Required Education: Associates Degree 

Required Years and Area of Experience: 
• 3+ years’ experience with Revit and BIM 

Required Skills: 
• Revit based skill sets 
• Ability to read system drawings (schematics) and architectural drawings 
• Competency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel & Visio) 
• Skilled with share drive, SharePoint and information databases 
• Ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks 
• Demonstrated history of providing sound judgment and decision making 
• Work cross functionally 
• Preparation of training materials for presentation and documentation purposes 
• Ability to demonstrate and train others in system documentation such as; Revit, Navisworks Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical specifications, Program/System Documentation, etc. 
• Understanding of DARM requirements

• Familiarity with Tabware & SCR systems 
• Basic understanding of Process Control and Process Discipline concepts 
• Ability to successfully communicate best practices & standards to users
