Banking & Finance – Consumer Regulatory - Remote - can be located anywhere in US.
Company is looking for a consumer regulatory attorney with strong research and writing skills to create and edit content for its legal products group. The legal editor will draft “how-to” type practical guidance on regulatory matters relating to US bank and securities regulation, draft and annotate form contracts involving financial products and services necessary to obtain regulatory approvals, conduct research in case law and treatises, and perform various other legal resources for a wide range of bank regulatory issues. Experience advising banks, insurance companies, credit card companies, mortgage banks, investment banks and other financial institutions on regulatory matters and financial institutions M&A is necessary. Experience with financial reform legislation and regulatory approval application and review requirements, such as operations of foreign banking organizations in the United States, capital adequacy rules and prudential standards, mortgage reform and anti-predatory lending and regulatory approvals for acquisitions and new activities, as well as compliance matters involving investment advisers, private offerings, and fund governance.



  • Law degree from an accredited law school 
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a financial services regulatory attorney 
  • Knowledge of bank and securities regulations, news and market trends 
  • Excellent editing, legal research, analysis and writing skills 
  • Effective written communication skills 
  • Ability to complete assigned projects by prescribed deadlines 
  • Must be organized, self-motivated and able to work in a detail-oriented environment
