Comrise, a global consulting firm, is seeking a HR/Payroll Specialist. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, he/she will be a key member of the Human Resources and Accounting department and will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll for multi-state salaried and hourly employees along with the onboarding of new employees. The ideal candidate will have some Accounting and HR experience/knowledge. Experience with ADP/Payroll/Onboarding experience is preferred. Experience with QuickBooks is preferred.


  • Process bi-weekly payroll for the company.
  • Have a basic understanding of payroll tax regulations and OT/ESL rules.
  • Setup new hires in internal systems.
  • Enter A/P invoices and schedule payments
  • Assist with preparation of accounting reports at times if needed.
  • Onboard new hires for clients
    • Sending out offer letter, consultant agreements, and other client documents once candidate information is confirmed  
  • Register candidates for background and drug screens
  • Provide daily updates to the client on candidate’s background reports
  • Perform employment/education verifications and professional references when necessary
  • Submit candidates to job requisites via client systems
  • Work in together with the clients and candidates to make sure candidates are cleared to start
  • Provide first day reporting instructions to candidates
