Controls support role descriptions for D180 project

Working Hours: Schedule will change depending on the phase of the project. Candidates will need to be flexible and able to work Day and night shifts as the project demands

OT: 25% is expected

1. Phase 1 Role description:
a. During phase 1 SUPPLIER’S controls engineers will work onsite with PMD (Progressive Machine & Design), the primary integrator, at the integrators site in Victor, NY. PMD’s controls engineers are responsible for delivering the controls software.
b. SUPPLIER’S controls engineers job is to shadow PMD and copmanies controls engineers and become intimately familiar with the software, hardware, and process on 1 to 2 of the 7 stations that make up a process cell. It is expected that the SUPPLIER’S engineer will be assigned to 1 or 2 stations, depending on station complexity.
c. SUPPLIER’S controls engineers must become knowledgeable enough about station functionality that they can independently support equipment debug and process development on the stations, possibly during offshift hours (TBD) at the integrators site.
d. SUPPLIER’S controls engineers will also support FAT (factory acceptance testing) at integrators site, possibly during offshift hours (TBD) at the integrators site.

2. Phase 2 Role description:
a. During phase 2 SUPPLIER’S controls engineers will support PMD and Company controls engineers during startup/debug and SAT (site acceptance testing) at the Company plant in Strykow Poland.



3. Candidate requirements:
a. Rockwell PLC - must
b. ACS motion controllers – want – precision multiaxis motion experience required
c. Matrox vision – want. Or must have experience with equivalent vision controllers such as Cognex, Keyence, Omron
d. Beginning mid to late Q3 2017, weekly travel to Victor, NY to work with Company integrator and come up to speed on control platform.
e. Beginning mid to late Q1 2018, extended travel to Strykow Poland for install startup duration's. Expected install and startup duration is 2 months.


Education: 4 year Engineering Degree is a minimum. Masters level candidates are preferred.
Experience: 5-10+ years working in a professional capacity.

PPE: Standard PPE will be provided by the site. Candidates should have their own safety shoes

Manager Must Haves:
- Rockwell PLC
- Ability to perform system debug
- Precision multiaxis motion experience
