Supports and assists in the design, development, production, testing, operation and maintenance of components and equipment. Prepares detailed drawings and layouts and conduct materials testing. Performs equipment maintenance, calibration, mechanical and electrical repairs, adjustments and monitoring of products under development. Experienced with complex instruments, testing equipment and gauges. May test models, write reports, identify problems and suggest solutions.
Specializing in electronic and electrical repair. Familiar with printed circuit board (PCB) repair and rework, surface mount (SMT) technology and associated tools and equipment. Knowledge of applicable International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) processes regarding soldering and PCBs. Ability to read basic electrical schematics, wire harness diagrams, and create assembly instructions, work instructions, and bills of material (BOM).
